Although Stanford Lee has been performing since his teenage days in high school, the former indie rock artist is now switching gears to a more down-home approach. Returning to his roots deeply trenched in country-western music Stanford’s music now pays homage to late greats like Buck Owens and Gram Parsons while still maintaining his own personal style.
Stanford Lee’s music is a lot of things. It's part honkeytonk and a little rockabilly. It’s a nod to Nashville and Bakersfield and fully steeped in Americana. With every song like “Back on the Honkey Tonk Road” and “Country Western Band,” listeners are transported to a world of flashy suits and cowboy boots and everything is about the story in the music.
